What's the difference between a Charcuterie board and a Cutting / Chopping Board?
A. Cutting boards are made from harder premium timber that has minimal knots, cracks and voids which inevitably require filling and stabilising. Although I use food safe / non toxic fillers, these are still unsuitable for the repeated use of sharp kitchen knives. On the other hand, Charcuterie boards are (k)not subject to the same wear and tear, and are typically made from softer, and sometimes highly featured species that celebrates the knots and character within the timber.
What if I like a product, but want it in a different timber, shape or size, can you alter it?
A. Usually yes, please just reach out and ask! I'm usually happy to draw inspiration from a specific request and alter something, or introduce a new variant into my little line of products.
