Hello and welcome to Asha Woodworking, my name is Jake Ginnivan and I'm the face behind this small business. Ever since I was little, the process of using my head, heart and hands to make things has totally enthralled me, and these days I'm in love with designing and producing custom artisan woodwork.

The handcrafted pieces I make are all produced in my small studio on Wurundjeri Country in Clifton Hill, Melbourne, and the scope of my work ranges from small woodworking projects right through to artisan tiny home construction.

Using either reclaimed or locally sourced agroforestry grown timbers, Asha Woodworking is all about promoting the use of wood as a sustainable, premier building material and finding ways to engage consumers with the environmental and social implications of their timber selection.

I love using timber in my practice knowing I’m either reducing industrial waste or investing in companies that are applying agroforestry practices to sequester atmospheric carbon and inspire social & environmental change.

Thanks for taking the time to learn about what I’m up to through Asha Woodworking. I hope I get the chance to shape some timber for you one day, and that through Asha Woodworking we can collectively share in the lives of trees and their beautiful timbers.
